Hudson Falls, New York, situated in the Town of Kingsbury (in Washington County) is located in the greater Glens Falls region, one hour’s driving distance north of the state capital in Albany.
Literally minutes from the historical and resort communities of Saratoga and Lake George, Hudson Falls is a historic community that has preserved much of its 19th century architecture on Main Street as well as throughout the village.
The Village of Hudson Falls is home to a population of roughly 7,400 (12,900 more when the Town of Kingsbury is included) and is at the commercial and geographic center of Washington County.
Bisected by U.S. Route 4 (also known as Main Street within the village), Hudson Falls was on a vital travel route during the French and Indian Wars as well as the American Revolution. Route 4 itself, now a major link between the Hudson River valley and Canada, began as an Indian trail when the Iroquois Indians ruled the area.
